I was accepted into the limited access Advertising and Public Relations program at UCF the summer between my sophomore and junior years. I paired this with a minor in Writing and Rhetoric because they supplement each other well. Over the past two years I have taken many courses under my major such as Mass Communication Law, Advertising Copywriting, Social Media as Mass Communication, Advertising Campaigns, and Crisis Communications. The following examples show my work throughout these courses (and also some of the courses for my minor). For Advertising Copywriting I created print advertisements for both newspapers and magazines for a brand book on oysters. Also for Copywriting and for a rhetoric course, Argumentative Writing, I created interactive websites to house information both on oysters and the Florida DOMA laws. I created a media advisory for my Writing for Public Relations class that talked about a community event for Target. And lastly their is a social media plan that goes over how Target should revamp there Facebook profile.
